Credit Confidence: A Conversation on Scores and Budgeting

Plenty of people carry questions about their credit for years without asking anyone. Maybe a score dropped and the reason was never clear, or a budget looked fine on paper and still came up short at the end of the month. Money is a hard subject to raise, even with people you trust.
On Tuesday, October 27, In Affordable Housing, Inc. (IAH) and Encore Bank are hosting an evening set aside for exactly those questions. Credit Confidence: A Conversation on Scores and Budgeting runs from 6 to 8 PM at IAH, and it's free to attend.
A relaxed evening over dinner
This isn't a seminar with slides and a lecture. Guests will enjoy dinner and settle into an open, candid conversation about credit and budgeting. The group is small, about 20 guests, so there's room to ask your own questions and hear what others are working through.
Come as you are. Nobody will ask you to share your score or your bank statements, and no question is too basic. Team members from IAH and Encore Bank will be there to listen and answer questions in plain language.
What the conversation will cover
Expect to talk about how credit scores are calculated and what tends to move them up or down, along with how to read your credit report and what to do if you find an error. On the budgeting side, the focus is practical: building a budget around your real income and expenses, and adjusting it when your situation changes.
If you'd like to keep working on your credit after the event, IAH will tll you more about our upcoming workshops, counseling and more.
