Ready to buy your first home? We just made getting started easier than ever. In Affordable Housing is please to offer homebuyer education two ways — take it online at your own pace, or join us in person for a live class. Pick the one that fits your life, and either way you'll walk away with a completion certificate in hand.

Here's what makes each option great.

New! Learn online with eHome America

Life is busy, and now your homebuyer education can fit right into it. Our online option is through eHome America, which  lets you take the class from your phone, tablet, or computer — anytime, anywhere.

What you'll love about it:

  • Go at your own pace. Start today, pause when life gets busy, and pick right back up where you left off.

  • No set schedule. Early bird or night owl, it's ready when you are.

  • Learn from home. No commute, no rush.

  • Perfect if you're ready to move quickly and comfortable working through the material on your own.

Online course: $100.

Still love a classroom? We've got you.

Our in-person class is alive and well — and for a lot of people, it's the best way to learn. You'll be in the room with a housing counselor who answers your questions on the spot, right alongside other future homeowners.

Why folks choose in person:

  • Real-time answers. Ask your questions and get them answered as they come up.

  • A supportive group. Learn with others who are on the same path — it's encouraging and a lot less intimidating.

  • Great for getting started. If you want more hands-on guidance, this is the one.

In-person class: $50 per person.

📅 Our next in-person class is August 15 — and seating is limited, so save your spot early!

Same certificate, either way

No matter which option you pick, you'll earn a completion certificate when you finish. Both cover exactly what you need to feel confident as you shop for a home, apply for a loan, and get to the closing table. That certificate is worth having too, since many down payment assistance programs may ask for one before you qualify.

For more than 30 years, we've helped Arkansas families move from renting to owning. As a HUD-approved housing counseling agency serving clients across the state, we're proud to help you take this next step — your way.
